Equal Pay & Benefits HB3641 Starting 4.1.24

HB3641 was signed by the governor and it impacts the portion of the law discussed in the presentation regarding the “equal pay and benefits” sections.

HB3641 pushed out the start date of the 90-day “clock” that starts ticking when you bring on an applicable temporary worker, with regards to paying that person equivalent pay and benefits to your own employees.

The clock is now “effective” under HB3641 starting April 1, 2024.  So if you have an appropriate temporary worker (as defined) working for 90 days starting with that date, you then have to provide “equivalent” pay and benefits to the temporary worker as for a comparable employee of your own.
