The 8th Annual LZ Area Taste of the Towns
Sunday, August 24, 2014
3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Lake Zurich’s Paulus Park
200 S. Rand Road
The “Taste” event has grown to become one of the Lake Zurich area’s most popular events with families and friends attending annually. The event focus is on the food and beverage vendors who feature “tastes” of their signature items. In the past, attendees have enjoyed tastes from local gourmet businesses like Julio’s Latin Café, Biaggi’s, and On Occasion Catering & Events and beverages from vendors like d’Vine Wine & Gifts, Binny’s Beverage Depot, Trader Joe’s, and many more. This community event showcases area food and beverage outlets focusing on quality, not quantity.
In addition to the featured food and beverages, attendees enjoy many free family activities and musical entertainment including “Paint the Car” provided by Casten Auto Body, Climbing Wall provided by Foglia YMCA, Pitching competitions by Go Hardball Training Academy, arts & crafts activities for kids by local daycare facilities, dance from Trilogy School of Performing Arts, and music throughout the event.
Entrance to the park is free, so all park goers are welcome to enjoy the entertainment and family activities. Those interested in enjoying the many “Tastes” of food and beverages must purchase a Tasting Menu. Tasting Menus allows attendees to receive one “Taste” of food and/or beverage from every vendor. Tasting Menus are limited and can be purchased in advance of the event for a discounted rate. Last year the menus sold out so pre-purchase your menus to assure your spot! Tasting Menus can be purchased on line by clicking on the following link: PURCHASE TASTING MENUS.
The annual Taste of the Towns is a great opportunity to bring family, friends, and neighbors together for tasting the foods you always wanted to try, and enjoy live entertainment and family activities in beautiful Paulus Park. Think of it as Taste of Chicago without the parking hassles and exorbitant costs. Great time for families, friends and neighbors to get together – bring chairs, blankets and your appetite!
Proceeds from the event help to fund programs and services provided by the LZ Area Chamber of Commerce, like the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.
